Awarded the Prize « Architecture, Urbanisme et Société du Geste d'Or - Nov 2014 », the Rothschild hospital is perfectly integrated with the urban surroundings. Not merely functional, the building is an integral part of the city life. Starting from its high-performance building façade - a moving interface made of bricks and metal that connects the exterior with the interior – which replicate accurately the original textures of the former building envelope. The greatest care has also been taken in the design of the interior spaces. No corners have been cut in order to give birth to a welcoming, nurturing environment.
