Part of an ANRU operation, the project aims at developing the 220 housing units into distinct entities with different shapes and features, rotating around a transparent central area. A project of such proportions cannot avoid the repetition of certain patterns altogether, this is however counterbalanced by the creation of a variety of distinct spaces that result from a fractional approach to the overall volume. The collective spaces thus appear as separate entities, counterpointing the design of the studios. The work on transparencies, on the different shapes and colours of the corridors, is extended in the room design, featuring integrated furniture and sliding shutters.

Based on the site of the former Sablé-sur-Sarthe hospital, the operation consisted in rehabilitating the vacant premises. The goal was to give birth to a
