Massey University has been studying the feasibility to upgrade and expand New Zealand’s only veterinary school. Aim of the study is to ensure Massey remains at the forefront of international veterinary scientific research and teaching, and helps meet the growing demand for qualified veterinarians. The project will increase the capacity of the Manawatu campus to train vets by 180 students and will be a significant enhancement to the working and learning environment for staff and students. Lastly, the University intends to seize this opportunity to undertake seismic strengthening works to the existing laboratory areas in one go.
