The spiral is the central theme of the B&G design, it symbolizes movement, progress through knowledge. That is also why the new complex is not an isolated entity, but one that is open and part of the neighbourhood. A connection visible in its airy bridge-like structure allowing communication between outdoor and indoor spaces. A system of interlacing ribbon-like elements makes up the facades. Moving imperceptibly towards the interior, these elements are enhanced using different materials. City side, white textured concrete panels cover the walls, while on the inside, a gray wood cladding takes over the meanders that contain the playground.
