A deeply humanistic approach guided the Porro-De la Noue duo in the construction of the Mureaux psychiatric hospital. Located inside a beautiful wooded park, the hospital is organized in three sectors of about twenty rooms arranged around patio gardens. The selection of materials aims at conveying a feeling of serenity and balance: red bricks and red wood for warmth; clear concrete and white plaster for brightness. From above, the building takes the shape of a flower, a theme that continues in the cheerful stained-glass windows in the hall.
