About this project

Located at the edge of a parcel, Pierre de Coubertin swimming centre is arranged so as have the front to face the public paths and clearly delimit the public space. Inside, the centre revolves around its "sports hall". The 50 x 25 m outdoor Olympic pool is provided with movable wall and floor (over 20 cm) and a seating capacity of 900 seats. Next to the pool, a 500-m2 "leisure hall" under a pergola and with a retractable roof; a 100-m2 paddling pool and various recreational equipment. To heat the pools, the centre uses dual energy heating (gas and wood) as well as solar panels.

Our role

We were appointed during the ‘Pre Contract’ phase to provide ‘Project Control & Advisory’ for the construction of the new aquatic centre ‘Pierre de Coubertin’ designed by Berthomieu. The project was administered and delivered under a single contract within a -month execution programme. Our involvement encompassed direct and indirect management of enabling works, construction, furniture, equipment, professional fees, security installations, external works, landscaping and general attendances. The services we procured included, but were not limited to, the following:
