About this project

The Axel Schoenert Architects Agency has been mandated by WeWork to restructure the building located at 33 rue Lafayette in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. This colossal operation takes place on an area of 12,000 square meters in collaboration with the WeWork teams. With an architectural past, Art Deco style with a monumental glass roof on the ground floor, the property complex has been repositioned in a contemporary context. Functionality, modernity and conviviality were the basis for the first Wework establishment in France. On its eleven levels, everything has been thought for well-being and accessibility.

Our role

We were appointed during the ‘Post Contract’ phase to provide ‘Cost & Project Management’ for tenant high-end fit out works for the new WeWork Co-working space in Paris, Lafayette designed by Axel Schoenert Architectes. The project was administered and delivered under a single contract within a 9-month execution programme. Our involvement – as the contractor’s lead QS role – encompassed direct and indirect management of enabling works, demolition, construction, furniture, equipment, security installations, external works, landscaping and general attendances. The services we procured included, but were not limited to, the following:
