About this project

Located in the vibrant Wynyard quarter, Auckland NZ, the new Apple office stretches over 2,200 m2 and provides the perfect location to meet the needs of the expanding NZ team. Refurbishment works were carried out over nine months to allow the team to move into the new office asap. The scope included the complete refurbishment and high-end fit out works of the reception area, the open plan working area, the managers’ offices, the video conference Rooms, the research & development Labs and a large staff break out area. It is worth mentioning that all building equipment installed are connected to Apple products for building management. A revolution!

Our role

We were appointed during the ‘Pre and Post Contract’ phase to provide ‘Cost & Project Management’ for tenant fit out works and relocation of the former Apple’s multi-location Auckland offices designed by SD+A. The project was administered and delivered under a single contract within a 9-month execution programme. Our involvement encompassed direct and indirect management of enabling works, demolition, construction, furniture, equipment, security installations, external works, landscaping and general attendances. The services we procured included, but were not limited to, the following:

Project Management

  • Feasibility studies, benchmarking, financial advice and budget preparation
  • Preparation of estimates, cost planning and cash flow forecasting
  • Identifying and pre-selecting qualified candidates
  • Evaluation, clarification, negotiation, realignment of tenders and finalising contracts
  • Cost expenditure management and payment control
  • Cost monitoring and reporting
